1927 North American Almanac
1927 North American Almanac
A beautifully worn copy of the 1927 North American Almanac, made available by the Dockum Drug Co. for the Rexall Store in Wichita, Kansas. The title page lists this book as "The Aristocrat of Almanacs."
Subject matter includes monthly calendars, brief biographies, notes on constellations, poetry, various geographic facts, saying of Abraham Lincon, and a story about the family life of ants--just to list a few! Over 200 pages in total
My favorite pages are probably the last 40 pages, which are all advertisments--some quite interesting!
As shown in the photos, this book is very worn, especially the front and back cover. The cover on the spine is gone and the front cover is loose at the bottom. However the interior pages are intact and still bound (with a few loose pages here and there).
A book to be treated gently, but still can be enjoyed! Or if you like the worn patina, this book can be a beautiful display piece.
