These are true treasures, dug up from Victorian-era "dump piles" in England and salvaged for re-use today.
These ironstone pots with lids originally served as product containers in Victorian-era England. Many times, they were reused as storage containers after the goods they contained were used up. After some time, these were tossed into trash pits dug around town. Currently, diggers with special licenses in the UK are digging up these items along with other Victorian-era stoneware, ironstone, and glass product storage containers.
Please note these all have various levels of wear. Some are heavily stained and have some chips. They were literally dug out of the dirt and shipped from the UK, so these are not pristine pieces! I have cleaned them, so any stains you see will likely remain.
The photos below do not show every bit of each jar. Please contact me via the contact form if you would like to see more specific photos of any individual jar.
They are fantastic displayed together or used as display risers. You can use them as trinket dishes or just enjoy owning a piece of English history.
