These tiny trinket dishes were possibly part of a child's toy tea set or small trinket dishes. They are approximately the same size as a standard butter pat, but butter pats usually don't have the indented ring in the center like these.
Whatever their original use, they could be used today stacked with your butter pat collection, as a demitasse spoon rest, a plate for a used tea bag, or even to catch your rings next to the sink!
They are free of any chips or cracks, but do have a bit of wear on the paint. Marked "Made in Occupied Japan," they are dated between 1945 and 1952. Both measure approximately 3" in diameter.
They are being sold as a set.
