This quilt has the most lovely colors and definitely comes from a bygone era!
Made of mostly solid and pinstripe fabric, it features a variety purples, blues, reds, and coral. The blocks are the nine-block pattern, shaped like a diamond.
This quilt is thicker and lumpy in some areas. It is hand-stitched and appears old, estimated to be from the 1920s or earlier. The back side has areas of patched repair work, and a few spots where you can see faint feedsack print.
This quilt does have condition issues, however it's soft and smells clean. It could be used as a stacking quilt or draped over the foot of a bed.
Measures 72" by 80"
Please note the following condition issues:
Noticeable stains on the back side. These are all "soft" stains, meaning they do not feel dirty, sticky, hard, or have any odor. They have likely been there a while.
A few similar, smaller stains on the front
Frayed edges throughout and some exposed batting.
5 small holes on the front
4-5 blocks of white muslin that have worn thin and where batting is exposed.
Shifting of the batting and lumpiness
While not perfect, the quilt is solid and displays well. For it's age, it still has a lot of life left!
