A large, lightweight quilt in a beautiful and simple white with lilac pattern!
This quilt is larger in size, lightweight, and soft. Made of a cotton front with muslin backing.
CONDITION
This quilt is in overall good condition. There is one area on the front side where the stitching has come loose along with a 1/2 inch tear in the white sashing. There are also a few worn spots along the edges and a small area along the edge that has been restitched for repair.
There is one dark mature stain on the front (did not come out with extended soaking) and a few other light yellowed areas. You can also see a faint area where the purple dye bled a bit. There is a bit of general yellowing along the white edge as well. On the backside, there is one darker stain and some yellowing.
The quilt has been carefully hand-washed and air-dried. The stains that are here are mature stains that will likely remain. It is soft, clean, and free of odors.
The age of the quilt is unknown for certain, however I estimate 1950s to 1960's. It was found in West Tennessee.
