I'm not certain the original use of these itty bitty animals, but they are adorable! They are both ceramic and have a tiny loop in the top, as if they were intended to be hanging ornaments. Perhaps they were a part of a nativity ornament set?

The sheep measures roughly 1" wide and the donkey is 2.5" inches. There are no chips or cracks on them.
