A charming vintage quilt in the perfect array of cottage colors!
The backside is a light denim blue colored muslin and the front features yellow sashing with the rising star quilt pattern. There is also a yellow and cornflower blue border, and a few adorable novelty prints.
The quilting work was done by hand. I have not been able to find a match for the fabrics, so the exact date is unknown.
Found in Northwest Arkansas.
CONDITION
Overall fair condition. It definitely shows wear, but most of the actual quilted patterns are intact and the fabrics still are colorful.
The quilt was very dirty and stained when I found it. It has been stain treated and washed, and most of the larger dark stains are gone. It's soft and smells clean.
The following condition issues remain:
75% of edging has become unstitched
one larger stain on back side and one hard stain along back edging
several spots blue ink stain on the front
several smaller faint stains on the front
a few worn areas of fabric on the quilt blocks
a few split seams
a smattering of worn small holes
